Die pressed 3 1/2" Aluminium 16g. Introduced in the early 1930's. Present specification used is hand polished 16swg (1/16"approx.) thick aluminium with black stove enamelled (high temperature) background. 1930's to 1963/4. Max 6 characters only, with a Standard plate size of 21"x5" oblong and 11",12" or 14" x 9 1/4" square.
